I may have said this before. I believe it’s the central theme of my life and I find it can be a valuable tool for living a longer healthier life. I truly believe it’s more than “it can be”. I believe find truly “is” a valuable tool.
I’m not afraid of repeating this thought because I find it so powerful for so many people I know and for people I see walking down the street or sitting in their cars.
This tool is MUSIC. The vibration of music moves my emotions and I can feel different energies come into my body when I hear or hum or – even just think of different melodies. I believe that writing songs and performing them helps me keep my body fit. Don’t worry! If you’re not a “singer” you can be a “listener””.
The words of songs affect us. As I’ve already told you, I’m, basically a lyricist. – However, I believe the vibrations of the melodies I hear affect me even more.
This thought won’t eave my mind today because this evening I’ll be performing in a festival in NYC this evening. It’s The Lower East Side Festival produced by Theater for the New City in The East Village of Manhattan. This year it welcomes in Memorial Day Weekend. I’ll sing a couple of songs I’ve co-written about America.
I suggest you find songs that uplift you. After you hear them you want to engage in uplifting activities. If you’re a drive you can get the CD that contains that song and listen to it while your on your way to “whatever”. You can download songs onto your IPhone if you have one. You can also think of the songs that uplift you and/or relax you and I believe those melodies and lyrical ideas can help you rejuvenate during the day.
